Finding time to Work-Out!

Yesterday I was so proud with myself I finished 8 loads of laundry and I didn't leave any in the dryer like I normally do!!! I even managed to get the living room clean. The only thing that I wish I would have done is exercise. I had planned on getting up early, but as soon as the alarm went off I reset it to my normal wake up time. Was I being serious with myself? I know I'm not a morning person and I love my sleep. I don't understand how people get up at 5 in the morning to work-out! I think I've come up with a plan... when Evan takes his daily nap is when I NEED to exercise and do my daily cleaning! Now I just need to stick to it! I always lose weight and have more energy when I do work-out. I just don't know what my problem is. I NEED to do this for my happiness.

Speaking of happiness... this morning when we were taking Ethan to school we walked out side and saw the fog. Jaxon exclaimed, " Look! The colors are faded!" I've never thought of fog that way.

Our Weekend

Well we were supposed to get snow here in Houston/Galveston area Friday, but we didn't get any at our house. The boys were soooooooo upset. They kept watching the news and saw all the pictures from the north side of Houston with all the snow and couldn't understand why it wasn't snowing here. Then Ethan saw flakes falling, but none were sticking. Oh well it would have been nice if it had snowed here, but at least they got to play in it last year!

Saturday we didn't really do much. We just waited for Justin to get home from work to go over to his parent's house. His NaNa is down visiting from Alabama were she lives now. We ate chili (was told there was supposed to be gumbo, but MIL changed the menu!) and then we played a white elephant game. It was fun. Justin and I ended up with an Ipod cooler (which I bought!) and a foot massager. Then we watched the amazing UT game!!!! Yay! Hookem' Hornes! They won in the last second with a fieldgoal!

Sunday we just hung out around the house. While the baby took his nap I ran to return some things a various stores and I was able to pick up my moms, MIL, and FIL Christmas gifts. I think I'm done and just have to pick up some stocking stuffers for the boys! Hope y'all had a great weekend too!

Saturday : We're going to Justin's uncle's house for his grandmothers surprise birthday party!

Little Helper

This morning we are supposed to get snow here in Houston! Yes I said SNOW!!! I decided to put a roast in the crock pot for dinner tonight. I love it when the house smells like food cooking all day. It gives me a cozy feeling. The roast was fairly large and since I have picky little eater who probably won't eat it I cut it in half. I made a rub to put on the other half and will make shredded BBQ sandwiches for Sunday. After I was done I turned around and saw that my helpers were quite busy also!!!

Birthday Weekend!

Friday was Jonathan's birthday. My first born baby boy turned 13. Lord help me. I took the boys to see New Moon ( big mistake they said it was a chick flick) and then we went to eat Mexican food at Casa 'Ole with my mom. (I have know idea why this is underlined. I can't seem to fix it. UGH!)



Then Sunday was Evan's birthday. He turned one. He had a blast eating his cake and opening all his gifts. Found out the hard way that he is allergic to blue icing, but all in all it was a great party!




So as you can see we've been pretty busy and on top of that there's family drama going on in Justin's family. I'm sooooooo happy it doesn't involve us! I plan on going to the store tonight to get a few things for Thanksgiving (I'm making Cranberry Sangria! WoooooHooooo!). So that's what we've been up to... Now I'm trying to clean up from the party and catch up on laundry before the holiday. Happy Tuesday y'all!

Evan's Room

This past weekend my sister and her two kiddos came down to help me with finishing/cleaning Evan's room.

I figured since he was turning one this coming Sunday it was about time that he had a finished room. It was a storage room before my baby boy came along and for the past year it was still a storage room, but with a crib! Sorry the pictures aren't that great!

In the picture the "V" and "N" are still on the wall. The "E" and "A" already fell off taking some of the wall and paint with them. I haven't figured out what I plan on doing with them now. I'm also going to buy some blue ribbon to fix the curtain, but I do love how the circles on the wall turned out! It's nice how the room looks like a little boy's room instead of a storage area!
